Shakespeare Festival St Louis

Applications for Winter/Spring 2019 Shakespeare Salon are now closed. Please check back in August for information about the fall session.

Are you excited by the challenges and rewards of performing Shakespeare? Interested in honing your craft in a safe, supportive environment? Looking for a group of like-minded artists to stimulate and inspire you? Join Festival Executive Producer Tom Ridgely for a bi-weekly workshop dedicated to the joys of playing the Bard. We’ll dive deeply into the text, experiment with different ways of bringing those words fully and spontaneously to life, and work together toward a collective approach that’s uniquely ours. To give the exploration focus, we’ll concentrate on a single play, All’s Well That Ends Well (2008 Oxford edition). We’ll also refer to Barry Edelstein’s Thinking Shakespeare (2018 revised edition).

We are hoping to convene a diverse and inclusive group with a demonstrated ability to perform at the professional level. The Salon is open to all Equity members and membership candidates. Non-AEA actors, please submit your resume and a short paragraph describing your interest in participating.
